$0.00| Description:
Friday, January 23, 2026
With Alberta Foundation for the Arts and SRE
Start the weekend by connecting with AFA staff, local arts organizations, and fellow artists. This informal networking session offers a welcoming space to build relationships, ask questions, and learn more about AFA’s role in supporting Alberta’s creative sector. Join a panel discussion featuring AFA representatives, local artists with successful AFA grant applications, and leaders from Wood Buffalo arts organizations. Together, they will share insights on navigating AFA programs, strengthening applications, and leveraging funding to advance artistic practice and community impact.
The Alberta Foundation for the Arts and SRE is inviting the Wood Buffalo arts community to a two-day event at King Street Theatre, designed to increase access to provincial arts funding and support local artists in developing strong, competitive grant applications. Hosted at King Street Theater, the weekend brings together AFA representatives, local arts leaders, and artists from across the region.
The event begins on Friday evening with a networking session, followed by a Q and A panel featuring AFA staff, local artists with successful AFA grant applications, and representatives from Wood Buffalo arts organizations. The panel will offer practical insights into navigating AFA programs and preparing effective proposals.
This event is ideal for emerging and established artists, arts administrators, and anyone interested in learning more about AFA funding opportunities. It is a valuable chance to build relationships, strengthen grant writing skills, and connect with the broader arts community. |
